#4: Julie Berry, The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place

With a title and cover that promised young girls and mischief, how could I refuse picking this up at the library? It delivered a satisfying mystery, but while the heroines were charming and full of pluck, I would have liked it more if the author hadn't resorted to using adjective nicknames to distinguish their personalities. It reminded me too much of Snow White's seven dwarves to have them constantly referred to in such a manner. I was also irritated that the overachiever of the bunch was the only one who never received any romantic interest, although I suppose it could be argued that no man in their village was good enough for her anyway.
