#12: Claire Legrand, The Year of Shadows

It's another juvenile ghost story, but the protagonist's pain at losing her mother and her home is so palpable and believable, it overshadows everything else about the story. And when she becomes friends with the ghosts, only to realize as she helps them move on that she is also losing them forever - like I said, I cried a lot. It's a really good book.
