#59: Brandi Carlile, Broken Horses

I'm really glad I read Brandi's autobiography before seeing her performance last week during Elton John's concert at Dodger Stadium. It gave me a deeper appreciation of their lovely friendship that shone through on the stage. I also learned a lot about her childhood, how she met the twins who form the core of her backup band, how she ended up marrying a woman from England, and how she found success in her career. As a longtime fan, I savored every anecdote.
