Previously.
Murderbot just can't seem to stay out of trouble. After spending the second book investigating the incident that caused its memory to be wiped, it decides to dig up more dirt on GrayCris, the evil corporation behind the events of the first book. This decision sends Murderbot into another life-threatening situation where it once again encounters a crew worth protecting - if only it can figure out how to do so without exposing itself as a terrifying uncontrolled killing machine that just wants to be left alone with its feelings.
Each book in this series seems to fit in a different category of entertainment. All Systems Red was adventure/espionage, Artificial Condition was mostly a relationship drama with a side of action, and this book provided suspense of the "in space, no one can hear you scream" variety. I fully expect Exit Strategy to be a legal thriller.
