#29: Anthony Daniels, I Am C-3PO: The Inside Story

This was an entertaining and enlightening memoir from the actor inside Threepio. He comes across as a warm but very exacting person who takes a great deal of pride in his work, and was crushed when he didn't initially receive recognition for his role in creating the character and the (literally) painful and difficult work of bringing him to life inside that stiff and suffocating suit. He has decidedly mixed feelings about various members of the production crew and cast (although he has nothing but praise for Sir Alec, Carrie and Mark), but he is clearly also in love with the world of the films and seems unmitigatedly grateful and gracious to other devoted Star Wars fans. Fun fact: he took a minor role in the Han Solo film as a slave in the spice mines of Kessel so that he could maintain his streak of appearing in every major Star Wars film.
