#45: Rick Riordan, The House of Hades (Heroes of Olympus #4)

This book was unbelievably epic! Not much character development, because the previous three books laid all the necessary groundwork, and now the heroes are running out of time. But everyone gets an equal turn at being awesome, especially Frank and Hazel, who were overdue for their turn to shine. Plus many old enemies return, Jason finally chooses a side, we learn a secret about Nico, and Leo finds love! I only hate having to wait a year for the final book, The Blood of Olympus, to come out.
