After the tension and heartache of the first book, the sequel is mostly rainbows and kittens by comparison. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as our heroes revel in their freedom and the newfound opportunities it brings them. But they are haunted by the memories of the other members of their former community, still locked away from the outside world, and eventually circle around to fighting for them once again, risking everything they have gained in order to pursue justice for all.
