#25: Gerald Morris, The Adventures of Sir Givret the Short

This short chapter book is set in the same general universe as the author's "Squire's Tale" series, but none of the knights from that series appear here. Instead this story focuses on Sir Givret, short of stature but brave and quick-witted, and his fellow knight Sir Erec, who is not so bright but an excellent swordsman. Together they seek adventures and avert catastrophes. The story is surprisingly unpredictable and extremely humorous. I read it out loud to my kids, and they were literally rolling around in their beds howling with laughter.
