This is a graphic novel version of a short story I remember reading in 2006 or so called Anda's Game, which is about an American girl who decides to play an MMORPG and makes friends with a Chinese teenager who works as a gold farmer. The story was a little choppy in places, but overall I think it worked much better as a graphic novel, largely because so much subtext is conveyed by appearance, both in the game and out of it.
