#56-57: Emily Tesh, Silver in the Wood & Drowned Country (Greenhollow Duology #1-2)

This is a pair of novellas set during Victorian times about a pair of men named Tobias Finch and Henry Silver, their evolving relationship, and their confrontations with magical foes. The two stories switch viewpoints as the two men switch roles between protector and protected. Although I enjoyed their tale, I felt that Silver's mother was a more interesting character than either of them and would hope to read more about her adventures in the future.

#58: Sarah Gailey, Upright Women Wanted

A quick read about an alternate dystopian America that crosses an old-fashioned Western with a Handmaid's Tale fascist patriarchy. Enjoyable, but felt like it should be a prelude to something more substantial.

#59: P. Djèlí Clark, Ring Shout

Mashup of D.W. Griffith and H.P. Lovecraft. Clever idea, but much too horrific for my taste.
