This book only has about a third as much plot as the previous one. Very little happens, especially in the first half; the heroes are looking for the Queen of Wands, and make absolutely no progress toward finding her. Most of the story is devoted to Tediously Opinionated Narration, which is an unfortunate tendency of this particular author when she writes for young people.
