This was as warm, funny, charming, and compassionate as one could hope for. In spite of the title, most of the narrative is focused on his upbringing and his pre-Trek career in theater, which makes sense, as those were his most formative experiences. His perceptiveness serves him just as well on the page as it does on the stage.
