#15: Adam Rex, Smek For President

This sequel to The True Meaning of Smekday doesn't have quite the drama of the original; the constant sense of impending doom between one alien invasion or another is missing here, and dirty politics isn't quite menacing enough to replace it. Also, the villains are clearly such self-absorbed idiots that their eventual comeuppance is a foregone conclusion. But Tip and J.Lo are as plucky and lucky as ever, they make some new alien friends, have more thrilling adventures, and still find time for the occasional biting social commentary. Maybe it wasn't as great as I hoped, but it was better than I expected.
