kareila_booksI really wanted to like this story about ass-kicking Asian-American superheroes recognizing and breaking their emotional anti-patterns while combating a demon outbreak in San Francisco, but it was too much like Buffy fanfic with the serial numbers filed off - an impression not reduced by the presence of a pull quote from Amber Benson on the back cover. I'm returning the sequels to the library unread.
