Another story that I enjoyed more than I expected to, given that the initial premise of a powerful secret society guarding the magic of Arthur's descendants at the University of North Carolina was more than a little off-putting. But I realize that the author was taking what she knew (her studies at UNC; the death of her mother at a young age; racism in 21st century America) and combining it with a lifelong love of Arthurian legend to forge something that challenges the expectations of legacy.
