Shannara

Hey...You reviewed both Elfstones of Shannara and Wishsong in a total of six sentences??? Aww. I remember finding cool rocks as a child and pretending they were the elfstones, capable of blasting blue fire. Of course, that may be part of your problem with the plot. The early Shannara books probably are better read in junior high or high school at the latest, before critical analysis skills are gained.

But you didn't even mention Garet Jax, the Weapons Master! Such a great supporting character. One of my favorites.

Fair enough. :) Ever read any of the later or current Shannara books? (I have, but it's been a few years.)

Not sure what's going on at your end, but I know you have your fair share of things to keep you busy and/or ill. Ping me when you're up for visitations. :)

You've read some of Incryptid and Newsflesh. Have you checked out any of the Toby Daye books?

I love that series and didn't enjoy the first Incryptid nearly as much (the same has been true with the non-Hollows stuff of Kim Harrison's).

I've just started the first book of a series which was reviewed in a Dresden book - Ill Wind. It's too soon to say for sure, but it seems to have promise.
